Hashomer Hatzair is a Progressive Zionist Youth Movement and specializes in youth-led informal Jewish education. Based on the values of equity, community, and social responsibility, our activities encourage youth to shape their community and find personal relevance in Judaism, Jewish peoplehood, and Israel.
We envision a world in which the Jewish community is collectively engaged in the advancement of equity, cooperation, and social responsibility both internally and in the world at large. Youth empowerment is central to this vision of strong, socially active and self-aware individuals, communities, and societies.
In 85 years, over one million youth have attended leadership- and group-building programs at our camps, seminars and events. LEARN MORE
